A Saline County man is in custody following an investigation into alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile.
According to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, detectives were notified April 10 through the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline of the allegations. A forensic interview was conducted, during which the victim disclosed alleged abuse involving 58-year-old Donnie Earls Jr.
Authorities say the information led to an arrest warrant being issued the same day. Earls was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Saline County Detention Center.
He faces charges including rape, sexually grooming a child and 90 counts related to the possession and distribution of sexually explicit material involving a child.
