The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office has issued a community notification regarding a registered sex offender who has established a new residence in the area.
Chad Douglas, born Nov. 30, 1986, is classified as a Level 3 sex offender, indicating a high risk to re-offend. Douglas had previously listed himself as homeless but has now reported a new address at 736 County Road 832 in Henderson.
Douglas was adjudicated delinquent on March 28, 2005, for second-degree sexual assault. Documentation indicates the offense involved sexual contact with a 12-year-old female.
The sheriff’s office emphasized that Douglas is not wanted by law enforcement at this time. The notification is being provided to inform the public and promote community awareness.
Authorities also remind residents that the information cannot be used to threaten, intimidate, or harass registered offenders, and any such actions could impact future community notifications.
