No. 24 Arkansas heads to Missouri for SEC series

No. 24 Arkansas will be on the road this weekend for an SEC series at Missouri.

The Razorbacks enter the matchup 27-15 overall and 9-9 in conference play, while Missouri is 20-21 and 3-15 in the SEC.

First pitch for the series opener is set for 7 on Thursday at Taylor Stadium, with the game airing on SEC Network. Game two will also begin at 7 on Friday on SEC Network, before the series concludes with a 2 first pitch Saturday on SEC Network+.

Arkansas has had success in Columbia, never losing an SEC series at Missouri and winning three straight series at Taylor Stadium. Since Missouri joined the SEC in 2013, the Razorbacks hold a 17-4 advantage in the all-time series.

On the mound Thursday, Arkansas is expected to start left-hander Hunter Dietz, who is 4-2 with a 3.59 ERA. Missouri will counter with right-hander Josh McDevitt, who enters 3-4 with a 4.08 ERA.

Friday’s matchup features Arkansas lefty Cole Gibler (3-1, 3.38 ERA) against Missouri’s Brady Kehlenbrink (3-6, 6.49 ERA).

The Razorbacks have not announced a starter for Saturday, while Missouri is expected to go with left-hander Javyn Pimental (2-1, 4.45 ERA).
