The Izard County STEM Schools has released the 2026 Cougar football schedule, which includes a return to 8-man football for the upcoming season.
Several changes will accompany the transition. Junior High and Senior High games will now be played on the same night, with Junior High kickoff scheduled for 5:00 p.m. followed by Senior High at 7:00 p.m.
The schedule features matchups beginning in early September and continuing through early November, including conference games and designated home contests.
The 2026 season is set to begin Sept. 4 with Dermott, with additional opponents including Cave City, Woodlawn, Rose Bud, JC Westside, AR Christian, Guy-Perkins, South Side Bee Branch and Magazine.
