
The ASUMH Trailblazers dropped both games of a doubleheader Friday at South Arkansas College in El Dorado.In game one, ASUMH fell 16-6 after South Arkansas used a 12-run fourth inning to pull away. The Trailblazers jumped out early with Broc Mattox hitting a solo home run in the first, and briefly held a 4-3 lead before the big inning turned the game.
Matt Byars took the loss on the mound, allowing nine runs over three innings.
In game two, ASUMH came up short 7-3. South Arkansas again built an early lead before Mattox delivered a three-run home run in the fifth.
Blayne Cribb started and allowed five runs, three earned, over three innings.
Mattox led ASUMH offensively, driving in six runs across the two games.
With the losses, the Trailblazers fall to 18-35 on the season.
