
Two people, including a 5-year-old, were injured in a crash late Thursday night in Ozark County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) says the 5-year-old girl from Gainesville was ejected from the vehicle, but was listed on the report as having minor injuries. She was airlifted to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. The driver, a 30-year-old female from Gainesville, received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cox South.The MSHP does not release the names of those involved in motor vehicle or boating accidents.
According to the accident report, the crash happened when the vehicle left the right side of the road, struck a fence, overturned and came to rest on its top. The girl was not wearing a seat belt.
The accident happened on County Road 503, two miles south of Gainesville at 11:00 Thursday night.
