The Elks Hoop Shoot National Finals recently took place in Chicago, where a local student earned national recognition.
Wyatt Tackett competed as a finalist in the national free-throw shooting contest, finishing seventh overall among top competitors from across the country. The Hoop Shoot program promotes youth involvement in athletics, emphasizing skill development, perseverance and sportsmanship.
Viola Schools thanked the Elk’s Lodge in Highland for sponsoring the event, and making it possible for our students to participate.
