
The Mountain Home Lady Bombers volleyball club stepped out of conference play in Rogers on Monday. The night began with Mountain Home winning the junior varsity match 2-1 (25-23, 20-25, and 15-10). The varsity match started promising as the Lady Bombers took an 8-5 lead before the hosts would rally back to take 15-11 lead. Rogers would hold on to a 4 point lead through a good chunk of the set before finally putting set 1 to rest with a a score of 25-20. Set two would see Mountain Home dominate early and take as 14-10 lead into the first timeout. After that Rogers would score 15 of the final 22 points to take a 25-21 victory in set 2 and a 2-0 lead in the match. Mountain Home would lead for a large majority of the final set, even taking a 22-17 lead, as Rogers exhausted both of their timeouts in the set. After the final timeout it would look like Mountain Home would take a set 3 victory, leading 22-17 and even getting to set point, at a 24-23. But Rogers would capitalize on an error and would score the final 3 points of the match 26-24 and the match 3 sets to 0. Mountain Home falls to 2-4 on the campaign, Rogers would improve to 3-3 on the season.
Mountain Home will be back in The Hangar on Tuesday for Exceptional Athletes Night against Batesville beginning at 4:30 p.m.
