The Mountain Home Bomber tennis teams competed at Searcy on Tuesday, posting several strong individual and doubles performances.
In boys singles, Landon Horne defeated Zach Tancinco 8-8, 7-2, Oakley Recktenwald earned an 8-6 victory over Carter Finley, and Chandler Jones blanked Hudson Whittington 8-0. The boys doubles teams also saw success, with Strat Rucker and Ben Souder claiming victories 9-7 over Reese Helton and Cameron McMullin and 8-3 over Joe Boone and JP Price. Max Goodwin and Nathan Mooney split their matches, winning 8-6 against Boone and Price but falling 2-8 to Helton and McMullin. Anthony Jones and Riley Edwards also picked up an 8-5 win against Owen Breaux and Aiden Neal.
On the girls side, Mary Charles McConnell and Addison Decker each earned multiple singles wins. McConnell defeated Sheriden Hernandez 8-1 and Yanyu Chen 8-0, while Decker beat Chen 8-3 and Hernandez 8-2. The girls doubles teams also had strong showings, with Kiana Talbot and Devon Sussman sweeping Enid Carpenter and Kyleigh Whaley 8-0, and Sienna Reed and Jentry Souder taking an 8-4 win over Victoria Jackson and Erin McKee.
The Bomber tennis teams will be back in action Thursday at Legacy Racquet Club as they play host to Nettleton.
