The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 30 is excited to celebrate its 20th Annual Veterans Outreach and Appreciation Picnic, set to take place Saturday Oct 4. The event will be held at Arkansas State University Mountain Home from 11 until 1, offering a day of gratitude and community support for the nation’s veterans.Event Coordinator Dan Hall is expecting at least 50 vendors providing information, some services and giveaways. Thanks to a member’s generous donation this year’s entertainment will be the band Bad Habit which was recently voted “best local musicians of 2025” in AY Magazine. The Mountain Home High School Junior ROTC program will again lend their support by serving meals, highlighting the community’s commitment to veterans.

The event is funded by generous donations from local businesses and individuals, with any surplus funds going towards crucial services such as building wheelchair ramps, transportation to VA medical appointments, and emergency assistance.
The continued success of this annual event relies on the ongoing support of the community, and the DAV is deeply appreciative of all contributions. This picnic not only celebrates the bravery and commitment of our veterans, but also reinforces the collective effort to ensure they receive the help and recognition they deserve.
