Applications are now being accepted through Oct. 31 for the 2026 Careers for Arkansas Livestock Leaders (CALL) Tour, which will spotlight livestock operations and businesses in Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky. The program is open to 4-H’ers ages 14–18.

The CALL Tour, sponsored by the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture and industry partners, gives senior 4-H’ers hands-on exposure to animal science career fields, industry-leading businesses and leadership training that helps them stand out on future college and job applications. Each participant is selected through a competitive process that includes a resume, cover letter, essays and an interview.

Hannah Dooley of Mountain Home, a member of both the Norfork Rebels and Teen Leaders 4-H Clubs, was among 18 students chosen for the 2025 CALL Tour. The five-day trip through Texas included stops at Priefert Manufacturing, Blue Team Wethers, Kelley Hair Sheep, Producers Livestock Auction, Texas Tech University, the National Ranching Heritage Center, Wintex Farms, Hi-Pro Feed Mill, Friona Industries Feed Yard and West Texas A&M University.

In addition to the industry tours, participants completed leadership training on topics such as resume and cover letter improvement, delivering elevator speeches and planning workshops.
