A Newton County woman has been arrested after a wild night where, while intoxicated, she urinated on her parent’s floor, fought with her family members and attacked her neighbor while she was topless. Facing a total of eight charges, four of them felonies, is 41-year-old Katherine Elizabeth Daniels of Deer.

According to court documents in the case, Daniels became upset when her parents told her to leave their house because she was drunk. She had urinated in the living room before leaving and was attempting to get back in the house. The father called their neighbor to come over and help as Daniels was trying to force her way back into their home.

Daniels broke the handle off the storm door and then took her father’s cane away and tried to hit him and the neighbor with it. Daniels then struck her father in the head with her fist and hit the neighbor multiple times in the torso and neck with the broken door handle.

The neighbor was able to push Daniels off the porch, but she then threw a chair at him. Daniels then jumped on her parent’s four-wheeler, but the neighbor was able to grab the key to prevent her from taking it. Daniels then got a shovel and struck the neighbor with it.

Daniels then informed her parents and the neighbor she was going to put a “hit” on all of them along with the neighbor’s family and make sure they were all dead. Then she started attacking the neighbor again with her fists.

Daniels then climbed through a living room window and started yelling at her mother, before the neighbor was able to remove her from the house once again.

Daniels then started walking towards her house, past the neighbor’s house, with the neighbor following her. She got about 40-50 feet past his house before turning around, became topless and ran straight at the neighbor and started hitting him again.

It was about that time when the first deputy arrived and ordered Daniels on the ground or he would TASER her. She complied and was taken into custody.

It was noted in the affidavit, her kids were sleeping in her parent’s house while all of the commotion was going on.

Daniels is facing felony charges of residential burglary, second degree domestic battery, aggravated assault and first degree terroristic threatening along with misdemeanor charges of third degree battery, third degree endangering the welfare of a minor, first degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. She is being held in the Newton County Jail with bond set at $15,000.
