A Mountain Home man faces charges after leading authorities on a high-speed motorcycle pursuit Monday evening in Baxter County.

53-year-old Angelo Grosso is facing a charge of felony fleeing.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Cpl. Stanton of the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling Highway 201 South near County Road 614 at approximately 5:49 that evening when he observed a red sports bike traveling 91 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone.

Stanton attempted to stop the motorcycle, later identified as driven by Grosso, who accelerated and continued southbound at speeds exceeding 100 mph. Grosso reportedly passed vehicles in the oncoming lane, ran through a yield sign at Highway 5 South reaching speeds over 100 MPH, and entered Norfork before slowing and pulling over near Blevins Street.

Authorities say Stanton conducted a felony traffic stop and placed Grosso under arrest without further incident. He was transported to the Baxter County Detention Center, and his motorcycle was towed from the scene.

Grosso is being held on $5,000 bond.
