Lady Bombers Fall to Pioneers, MHJH Squads Continue Hot Streak

The Mountain Home Lady Bombers suffered a tough defeat on the road Tuesday in Batesville. The Lady Bombers would fall to the Pioneers 3 sets to 1. Mountain Home, coming off a somewhat pyrrhic victory on Monday against Harrison, would defeat the Goblins but lose their setter Cara Jackson for the season over the course of the match, were looking to win their third consecutive match on Tuesday. The first set would go in Batesville’s direction by the score of 25-21. Set two would see Mountain Home get out to an early 6-1 lead but Batesville would fight back. Mountain Home will take set 2 by the score of 25-21. Mountain Home was within two points of clinching set 3 but would suffer a myriad of errors and would drop set 3 25-23. The fourth set would see Mountain Home trail 24-20. Mountain Home would call a timeout and would rally to cut the deficit to 1 but Mountain Home would not tie the set and would lose the 4th and final set 25-23 and the match 3 sets to 1. Mountain Home falls to 9-9 and 6-6 in conference play.

Mountain Home’s junior varsity would tie their 2 set match that was held prior to the varsity match.

Mountain Home’s Junior High squads would continue their winning ways beginning with the 7th and 8th grade teams sweeping their matches 2-0. The 9th grade match would see Mountain Home sweep 2-0 by the scores of 26-24 and 25-10.

All 5 teams will be back in action next Tuesday on the road at Valley View.
