The Mountain Home Bomber Tennis teams excelled at the 5A-east conference tournament over the last 2 days. The day began with the Lady Bomber doubles pairing of Kiana Talbot/Devon Sussman making it all the way to the finals to defeat the Valley View pairing of Bearden/Ji to bring home the 5A-east girls conference title in doubles. Additionally, Mary Charles McConnell will join Sussman/Talbot in the state tournament next week. On the boys side Mountain Home’s Landon Horne defeated Zach Tansisco of Searcy to take home the 5A-east boys singles conference title. Max Goodwin, Oakley Recktenwald, Nathan Mooney, Ben Souder, and Strat Rucker qualified for state as well. The points gained from all of these qualifications was enough to give Mountain Home the boys team title in the 5A-east. The class 5A state tournament will take place next week in Searcy.
