At the conference tournament, seven players qualified for state. While the varsity doubles teams were the highest seeds, they fell short of advancing. At the state tournament, teammates Gray and Sam faced each other in an epic semifinal match. Gray went on to win the state championship, while Sam finished fourth, securing the points necessary for the Bombers to claim the team title, a historic achievement for Mountain Home tennis.
The team’s success was built on countless hours of practice, determination, and pride, guided by the leadership of Coach Bullington, Coach Colton, Coach Garretson, and Coach Beavers. Their dedication, along with the support of the community, made the 2007 team’s remarkable accomplishments possible.
The Hall of Honor induction celebrates not only their victories but the enduring legacy they left for future Mountain Home athletes.
