Thursday night brought a full slate of high school basketball action across the region, with several area teams taking the court in early-season matchups.

The Flippin Lady Bobcats struggled on the road, falling to the Kingston Lady Yellowjackets 56-–17.

Flippin’s varsity boys, however, had no trouble finding their rhythm. The Bobcats dominated Kingston 84–-32, controlling the game from the opening tip.

In Cotter, the Warriors hosted the Bergman Panthers in a hard-fought boys’ contest. Despite a strong start from Cotter, Bergman proved too much down the stretch as the Panthers pulled away for a 64–-48 victory.

Over in Western Grove, the Norfork Panthers faced a tough road test against the Ozark Mountain Bears. The Bears took control early and never looked back, handing Norfork a 67–-34 loss in boys’ action.

The Lady Panthers of Norfork, however, salvaged a split on the night. In a tight back-and-forth battle, they came away with a 55-–51 win over the Ozark Mountain Lady Bears.
