
The #9 ranked Mountain Home Bombers moved to 8-1 with a 44-20 victory over the Van Buren Pointers on Friday Night.
The night began with Mountain Home drawing first blood with a tackle in the end zone that resulted in a safety, drawn by Drew Vigna to put the Bombers up 2-0 early in the first quarter. Immediately after that Connor Schulz returned the resulting free kick 86 yards for a Bomber touchdown to go up 8-0 early in the first stanza. At the 2:11 mark Mountain Home’s Brantlee Phillips would connect with Barrett Miller for a 65 yard touchdown pass to vault the Bombers into a 14-0 lead into the 1st quarter break.
At the 9:32 mark of the 2nd quarter Phillips connected with Carter Adkins for a 9 yard touchdown pass to put the Bombers up 21-0. 50 seconds later Phillips connected with Bryce Kincade for an 8 yard touchdown to put the Bombers up 28-0. After a 3 and out forced by the Bombers defense, Phillips would find Adkins again for an 11 yard touchdown pass to send the Bombers into the halftime break up 35-0 and invoke the AAA sportsmanship rule.
Van Buren would tack on a pair of touchdowns in the 3rd quarter and Mountain Home would add an Isaac Ballard field goal to take the game to the 3rd quarter break leading 38-13.
With 5:44 left in the ballgame Connor Schulz would tack on his 2nd touchdown of the game to put the Bombers up 44-13. Van Buren would add one more touchdown but the Bombers would cap off a Halloween night win 44-20.

Mountain Home was led offensively by Brantlee Phillips with 7-10 passing and 165 yards in the air. Barrett Miller tacked on 126 all purpose yards with 1 receiving touchdown. Kaeden Dotson, Carter Adkins and Kincade all added receiving touchdowns. Defensively Elijah Hillstrom was a menace for the Bombers accounting for 4 of the Bombers 7 ½ sacks.
Mountain Home moves to 8-1 and will welcome Greenwood to Bomber Stadium next week for senior night.
