Mike McDonald announced his intention to seek reelection as Justice of the Peace on the Baxter County Quorum Court for District 2 on Friday. The district encompasses northern Baxter County along Highway 201 North over to Highway 5 North to the Missouri line.
McDonald says the encouragement of citizens in his district and the desire to work for the best of the county is why he is running again.

McDonald says the biggest challenge serving on the court was the issues facing the county that led to the dissolving of the airport commission and he is interested to hear a report from the newly formed advisory board meeting this week.
The JP says he believes the county is heading in the right direction and supports the leadership of County Judge Kevin Litty.

McDonald has been a resident in Baxter County for over 50 years. He worked for Farmers and Merchants Bank for 26 years as a facilities manager and retired in 2022.
