A Mountain Home man appeared during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court/Criminal Division October 20 and pled guilty to a reduced charge of criminal trespass and was put on probation for 12-months.

He was also ordered to pay $1,000 in victim restitution.

Forty-seven-year-old James Jackson was initially charged with theft by receiving.

He was identified as being involved in the theft of fishing equipment and a flamethrower from a truck and trailered boat parked at a local business.
The theft was reported to police August 19 last year.

Surveillance cameras at the business showed a black SUV pull alongside the victim’s truck and trailered boat. A man in an orange shirt was seen taking items.

The video enabled investigators to obtain the license number of the SUV.

They were able to use that information to establish that Jackson had been involved in the incident and he was arrested and charged.
