Central Arkansas fell 94-54 to North Carolina on Monday at the Dean Smith Center in the first meeting between the programs.
The Bears (0-1, 0-0 ASUN) struggled to keep pace with the Tar Heels’ fast start, falling behind 51-23 at halftime. Central Arkansas received 21 points from the bench, but turnovers and North Carolina’s efficient offense limited their opportunities.
Cole McCormick led UCA with nine points on 4-of-5 shooting and added four rebounds before fouling out. Ty Robinson scored consecutive three-pointers in the second half, briefly narrowing the margin, while Bolden contributed eight points and five rebounds. Luke Moore added eight points and three steals, and Parker Applegate chipped in two points, two rebounds, and two steals.
Despite the loss, the Bears showed flashes of resilience, particularly from their bench and perimeter shooting.
Central Arkansas will return home to face Champion Christian on Saturday, with tipoff scheduled for 1 at the Farris Center.
