The Lady Bomber wrestling team had a strong day in Marshfield finishing as runner-up with a 4-1 record on Saturday. Mountain Home’s only setback came in pool play with a 54-30 loss to host Marshfield. The Lady Bombers bounced back with wins over Owensville 58-22 and St. James 78-0. In the championship pool they edged Harrisonville 44-36 and completed a dramatic comeback against Waynesville, rallying from a 38-12 deficit to win 42-38 by taking the final six matches.
Bailee Schaffner and Brooklynn Stuteville led the varsity squad with perfect 5-0 records. Olivia McCoy, Chrissa Bennett and Hollianne Houle went 4-1. Three varsity wins apiece came from Jurzie Guiltner, Ellie Miller, Gracie Miller and Joslin Haney, while Ricia Recktenwald, Dalyce Burrow, Cami Blyzes and Abby Swartz each added two wins. Macy Shrontz earned one varsity victory, and in JV action Amiee Lynn Fritzal picked up two wins.
The Lady Bombers return to action Tuesday at home in The Hangar with a tri-match beginning at 4 p.m.
