
The Missouri women’s basketball team stretched its winning streak to five games Sunday with a 65-56 victory over SIUE at Mizzou Arena.
Senior forward Jordana Reisma led the Tigers with 17 points and five rebounds, while junior guards Grace Slaughter and Shannon Dowell added 11 points each. Junior Abbey Schreacke contributed 10 points, hitting 2 of 4 from three-point range. Sophomore Chloe Sotell sparked the early charge with a three-pointer, helping Missouri grab an early four-point lead.
Trailing by nine midway through the first quarter, the Tigers used a strong defensive second quarter, including three steals and a 6-0 run, to cut the deficit to nine at halftime. Missouri came out of the break on an 8-1 run to cut the lead to two and later tied the game at 42-42 with a 13-4 run sparked by Slaughter.
In the fourth quarter, Dowell’s three-pointer sparked a decisive 19-9 run that put the Tigers in control. Missouri finished perfect at the free-throw line (16-of-16) and recorded nine steals, matching a season high.
