
Off to its best start in Conference USA since 2017-18, the Missouri State Bears (9-5, 3-0 C-USA) will put their unbeaten conference record on the line Wednesday night when they travel to VyStar Arena at the Convocation Center to face Kennesaw State (8-6, 0-3 C-USA). Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Central.
Missouri State leads the all-time series 1-0, winning the last meeting 78-55 on Dec. 17, 2011.
Freshman guard Trey Williams Jr., a Centralia, Illinois, native, was named Conference USA Freshman of the Week Monday. Williams averaged 12.7 points over MSU’s three conference wins last week, adding 3.0 assists and 2.3 three-pointers per game. He scored 15 points on 4-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc against UTEP, added 13 points with three triples and four assists in the win over New Mexico State, and contributed 10 points and three assists at Delaware.
