
The Little Rock Police Department has arrested a 19-year-old woman in connection with a homicide that occurred Wednesday night on South Woodrow.
LRPD said Keyona Griffin, 19, of Little Rock, has been charged with capital murder.
According to police, patrol officers from the 12th Street Division responded to a ShotSpotter alert at 1300 South Woodrow Street at about 8:54 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8.
When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old Rashon Fields suffering from a gunshot wound. Fields was transported by MEMS to a local hospital, where he later died.
Officers secured the scene and requested assistance from homicide detectives and the Crime Scene Search Unit.
The Pulaski County Coroner later transported Fields’ body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy.
