Missouri State bears visit WKU for midweek conference showdown

The Missouri State Bears travel to Western Kentucky on Wednesday night for a 6:30 p.m. Conference USA matchup at E.A. Diddle Arena. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.Missouri State (10-6, 4-1 CUSA) begins a four-game conference road swing, its first since 1984-85. The Bears are tied for second place in the 12-team league, one game behind Liberty and tied with Middle Tennessee.

Forward Keith Palek III leads the team with 17.5 points per game, ranking fifth in CUSA, and averages 7.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists. Palek has scored in double figures in 15 of 16 games this season and recently recorded his seventh 20-point game. Senior Michael Osei-Bonsu leads the conference in field-goal percentage (.596) and ranks third in CUSA in offensive rebounds (3.15 per game). Junior Kobi Williams needs three points to reach 1,000 for his career, while senior Antwan Burnett is one assist shy of 100 career assists.

Missouri State ranks third in CUSA in scoring offense (77.6) and defense (68.2), leading the league with a +9.4 scoring margin. The Bears have held the lead for 85.5 percent of possible minutes in their first five conference games.

Missouri State leads the all-time series against WKU 2-0, including a 84-78 victory in their last meeting on Dec. 5, 2018.
