Mizzou women take momentum to Gainesville for SEC matchup with Florida

The Mizzou women’s basketball team hits the road Sunday to face Florida at 1 at Exactech Arena in Gainesville.

Missouri enters the matchup at 13-7 overall and 1-4 in SEC play after a 94-69 win over Arkansas on Thursday. The victory marked the Tigers’ first conference win of the season and the first SEC win under head coach Kellie Harper.

Senior forward Jordana Reisma led Mizzou with 21 points against the Razorbacks, her eighth career 20-point game and second this season. Junior guard Grace Slaughter added her sixth double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds and continues to rank among the SEC leaders in scoring and minutes played.

The Tigers’ 25-point win was their largest in conference play since 2019, and the 94 points were their most in an SEC game since 2021. On the season, Mizzou ranks sixth nationally and first in the SEC in 3-point percentage at 38.3 percent and leads the league in free-throw shooting at 80.1 percent.

Florida enters at 12-8 overall and 0-5 in conference play after a loss to No. 9 Kentucky. The Gators are led by sophomore guard Liv McGill, who averages 23.2 points per game.
