Red Wolves roll past Bowling Green in 91-54 blowout

Arkansas State men’s basketball (15-10, 6-6 SBC) controlled the game from the opening tip and cruised to a dominant 91-54 win over Bowling Green (14-10, 5-6 MAC) on Saturday afternoon at First National Bank Arena.

The 37-point victory marked the Red Wolves’ largest margin against a Division I opponent since 2013 and capped a season sweep in the MAC-SBC Challenge. Christian Harmon led all scorers with 18 points, while TJ Caldwell added 14 and Aly Tounkara and Jaxon Ellingsworth chipped in 11 and 10, respectively. Tounkara posted a double-double with 10 rebounds, and Chandler Jackson contributed eight assists and a season-high four steals.

A-State shot 51.6 percent from the field and 41.9 percent from three-point range, dominating in points off turnovers, points in the paint, and bench scoring. The Red Wolves opened the game on a 10-1 run and held Bowling Green without a field goal for nearly eight minutes.

A-State returns to action Wednesday hosting ULM at 7 inside First National Bank Arena.
