Fifth-ranked Arkansas rebounded from its first loss of the season with a dramatic extra-inning victory Sunday, defeating Texas Tech 6-5 on a walk-off sacrifice fly in the 11th inning.

The Razorbacks (2-1) carried a 4-0 lead into the eighth inning before the Red Raiders (0-3) scored five runs over the final two frames, including four in the ninth, to take the lead. Camden Kozeal tied the game with a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings.

Arkansas sealed the win in the 11th when Maika Niu lifted a sacrifice fly to shallow left field, allowing Damian Ruiz to score the winning run. Ruiz reached base in all six of his plate appearances.

On the mound, Colin Fisher set the tone with five scoreless innings, allowing one hit while striking out eight. James DeCremer added two scoreless innings in relief before the bullpen faltered late. Steele Eaves ultimately earned the win after pitching the final 2 1/3 innings.

Niu drove in the game’s first run with a third-inning groundout, and a Texas Tech throwing error in the fourth plated two more runs. TJ Pompey added an RBI double in the fifth to give Arkansas its early cushion.

The Razorbacks remain in Arlington to face Tarleton State on Monday.
