An arrest has been made in connection with vandalism at a Mountain Home laundry mat that caused an estimated $15,000 in damage. The owner had surveillance video of the incident that helped Mountain Home police catch the suspect, 52-year-old Allison Paige Nix of Mountain Home. She also picked up charges that night for running around a motel nude.
According to the probable cause affidavit, officers were called to A+ Laundry the evening of Feb. 5 for a report of a female destroying property inside the business.
When officers arrived, they discovered multiple washing machines and dryers, a bathroom, and several mirrors and signs had all been destroyed.
Witnesses said Nix appeared to be under the influence of either drugs or alcohol. When she left the business, the witnesses were able to get the license plate number which was registered to a car in her name.
Nix was located later that night at the Mountain Home Inn motel and arrested for running around the property nude and causing a disturbance. She was found on the second floor of the property and taken into custody.
She also faces a charge for violating a no contact order that is in place after a physical altercation she had last month with her 86-year-old father in which she was arrested for third degree domestic battery. She violated the order by texting satanic photos to the victim.
She is facing a felony charge of first degree criminal mischief for the laundry mat incident and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct for the incident at the motel. She is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on bonds totaling $15,785.
