
Central Arkansas (18-10, 13-2 ASUN) extended its winning streak to 11 games with an 88-76 victory over Stetson (9-19, 5-10 ASUN) Thursday night at the Edmunds Center.
The Bears took control early and never trailed, capitalizing on turnovers for 28 points. The win ties the program record for most victories in a season during its Division I era.
Camren Hunter led the charge, scoring 22 points in the first half as Central Arkansas built a commanding 52-26 lead at the break. The Bears forced nine Stetson turnovers in the opening half and turned them into fast-break opportunities.
In the second half, Javion Guy-King scored three straight layups to maintain momentum, while Stetson attempted to rally behind a string of three-pointers from Ethan Copeland. The Hatters trimmed the deficit but could not get closer than 22 points.
Hunter sealed the victory late by going 6-for-6 at the free-throw line as Central Arkansas closed out the 88-76 win.
