Arkansas left-hander Colin Fisher has been named Southeastern Conference Pitcher of the Week after a dominant performance in the Razorbacks’ weekend sweep of Xavier.

The junior from Noble, Oklahoma, threw an eight-inning complete-game one-hit shutout Sunday, striking out a career-high 11 batters without issuing a walk. Fisher needed just 86 pitches and retired the final 20 hitters he faced after allowing an infield single in the second inning.

His outing secured Arkansas’ 33rd consecutive non-conference regular-season home weekend series victory and marked several program milestones. Fisher recorded the Razorbacks’ first eight-inning complete-game shutout and the first eight-inning one-hitter in school history. The game ended early when Arkansas walked off with an 11-0 run-rule win in the bottom of the eighth.

Through two starts this season, Fisher has yet to allow a run over 13 innings. He owns a 1-0 record with a team-leading 19 strikeouts while surrendering only two hits and two walks. Opponents are batting just .049 against him.
