
Sales tax revenue in Mountain Home rose compared to the same period last year, according to the latest figures.City sales tax collections totaled $666,209 for the month, an increase of $20,654, or about 3.2 percent, over last year’s $645,555. Year to date collections are up $42,566, a 3.5 percent increase.
Mountain Home’s share of Baxter County sales tax brought in $313,142 for the month, up $19,561, or 6.7 percent, from the same month a year ago. The year to date increase stands at $37,493, also about 6.7 percent.
Public safety sales tax revenue totaled $249,828.56, an increase of $7,745, roughly 3.2 percent, compared to last year. Year to date collections are up $15,962, or 3.5 percent.
Park improvement sales tax collections reached $333,104 for the month, exceeding the monthly bond payment requirement of $214,624 by $118,479.
Parks operations sales tax revenue totaled $166,552 for the month.
