Regional tournament action gets underway this week across several classifications, with area teams set to compete for spots in the state tournament.
In the 1A-1 Regional Tournament at Lead Hill, the host Tigers enter as the top seed and will take on 4-seed St. Paul Wednesday night at 8:30. On the girls side, 3-seed Lead Hill faces 2-seed Scranton Thursday at 7.
In the 3A-2 Boys Regional at Manila, Flippin takes on Rivercrest Wednesday at 5:30, followed by Cave City facing top-seeded Osceola at 8:30. Thursday’s action features Melbourne against Newport at 5:30 and Bergman taking on Manila at 8:30.
On the 3A-2 girls side at Manila, top-seeded Bergman opens against Newport Wednesday at 4, with Valley Springs facing Manila at 7. Thursday’s girls matchups have Melbourne taking on Walnut Ridge at 4 and Mountain View squaring off with Rivercrest at 7.
In the 1A-2 girls tournament at Sloan-Hendrix, Marshall will face Riverside Wednesday at 7, and Izard County takes on Buffalo Island Central Thursday at 4. Izard County’s boys will face Bay Thursday at 8:30.
