1-day Hunter Education Saftey Course Saturday at Fred Berry Crooked Creek Nature Center

An in-person Hunter Education course will be offered Saturday at the Fred Berry Crooked Creek Nature Center in Yellville. The session will include instruction led by wildlife officer Tim Davenport, along with additional staff from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission(AGFC), a lunch break and final exam. Students who pass will receive their certification card that day.The all-day class is designed to develop safe, responsible and knowledgeable hunters through hands-on demonstrations and instruction on topics including tree stand safety, one of the leading causes of hunting accidents. Anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1969, must successfully complete a Hunter Education Safety Course to legally hunt in Arkansas.
