
Baxter County officials report an increase in sales tax revenue based on collections from December 2025 sales.
The county’s portion of the tax rose 6.7 percent, an increase of $36,161 compared with the same month last year. Revenue dedicated to the county jail also increased 6.7 percent, up $15,873.
Year to date collections for the county are up $69,309, also a 6.7 percent increase, while the jail’s share has risen by $30,423 over the same period.
Projected revenues are also trending higher, with the county portion expected to finish up 7.2 percent, or $74,358, and the jail portion projected to increase 7.7 percent, or $34,560.
