Severe weather possible this afternoon and evening; flash flooding possible overnight

The Twin Lakes Area will get it’s first taste of severe weather this season as strong storms move through the area in the afternoon with flooding rains possible overnight.National Weather Service Meteorologist Eric Greene tells KTLO News that storms will begin to develop in the area following the lunch hour and the threat for severe weather will continue through the evening.

An excess of 4 inches of rain overnight is possible according to the latest models from NWS although it’s likely the area receives 1.5 inches.

Forecasters are also keeping an eye on Friday’s conditions as a Slight Risk for severe weather has been issued with chances of severity increasing to the west.
