A Pine Bluff man accused of killing his wife earlier this month has been arrested in Little Rock.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Samuel Wimbly was taken into custody Thursday without incident. He will be returned to Jefferson County to face charges of capital murder and possession of a firearm by certain persons.

Wimbly is accused in the March 1 shooting death of 40-year-old Kinyatta Ringo-Wimbly.

Pine Bluff police responded to a home on Cimarron Drive shortly after noon Sunday after receiving a 911 hang-up call. Authorities say family members forced their way inside the residence and found Ringo-Wimbly unresponsive with apparent gunshot wounds.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say an autopsy by the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory will determine the official cause and manner of death.

The Pine Bluff Police Department credited the U.S. Marshals Service and other assisting agencies for their help in locating and arresting the suspect.
