A Jonesboro man is being held on a $50,000 bond after police say he was caught on camera recording a co-worker using the restroom.

Special Judge Barbara Halsey found probable cause Friday to charge Terry Hatcher with video voyeurism, a Class D felony.

According to an affidavit, Hatcher was fired from his job at a business on King Street after he was caught Feb. 20 recording another employee while she was in a restroom.

Court documents state video evidence shows Hatcher kneeling at the restroom door with a cell phone and leaning toward the bottom of the door with the device. The affidavit says he is then seen standing abruptly, placing the phone in his pocket and leaving the area.

During an interview with police, investigators say Hatcher admitted to the act. The affidavit states he told officers he knew the victim was inside, opened the camera app on his phone and knelt by the door in an attempt to view her through the gap at the bottom while she was using the restroom.

Hatcher is being held in the Craighead County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in circuit court April 23. If he posts bond, Halsey ordered that he have no contact with the victim.
