The Baxter County Coroner’s Office has expanded it’s fleet with a new truck thanks to donations from community partners.
On Monday last week the Baxter County Quorum Court passed a resolution to transfer $15,000 in donated funds to the Coroners Office budget to purchase the 2019 Ford F-150 pickup.
Coroner Sam Seamans, who has served in the position since November of 2025, says that with multiple staff the new rig will ensure they have enough vehicles on the road when needed.

During the Quorum Court meeting last Monday Seamans spoke on how important having multiple 4 wheel drive vehicles is especially during winter weather. He tells KTLO News the newly acquired truck has all the features he was looking for.

Over 15 organizations, foundations and businesses donated to raise the funds so the coroners office could by the new vehicle.
