Bombers finish runner-up at Nettleton Raider Invitational

The Mountain Home Bombers posted a 3-1 record over the weekend at the Nettleton Raider Invitational Tournament in Jonesboro, finishing runner-up after falling to Little Rock Central in the championship match.

Mountain Home opened the tournament with a 1-0 win over North Little Rock. Dierks Beauregard scored the lone goal with an assist from Adrian Benito Gonzalez, while goalkeeper Jonas Balle recorded one save.

The Bombers followed with another 1-0 victory against Cabot. Jacob Bzdel scored the game’s only goal and Balle finished with two saves in the shutout.

Mountain Home then defeated Paragould 2-1. Landon Scallion and Beauregard each scored for the Bombers, with Ian Soares recording an assist. Balle added one save.

In the championship match, Mountain Home fell to Little Rock Central despite three saves from Balle.

With the tournament performance, the Bombers improved to 6-1 in non-conference play to begin the season. Mountain Home will travel to Harrison on Tuesday for its next match.
