The Ozark County Ambulance District has added power loading cot systems for all three of their ambulances. A fourth ambulance is on the way this summer and it too will have the same system that helps prevent injuries for the emergency medical technicians (EMTs).

Nathan Boone is the new administrator of the Ozark County Ambulance District. He says the systems are pre-owned from the South Howell County Ambulance District which recently upgraded their systems.

Boone says the power lift systems have two mechanical arms that lift the cot into the ambulance which means no more heavy lifting for the EMTs and it’s much safer for the patients.

He says the truck that is coming in June will have a lot of new new equipment.
