
The Mountain Home Lady Bombers turned in a strong showing Saturday, finishing runner-up at the Batesville Southside soccer tournament with a 2-1 record on the day.Mountain Home opened the tournament with a 4-3 victory over De Queen decided in a shootout. Goals in the match were scored by Kenna Medley, Kendra Medley, Kynleigh Reynolds and Gracen Warren.
The Lady Bombers followed with another dramatic win in the next round, again prevailing 4-3 in a shootout against Morrilton. Kynleigh Reynolds and Kendra Medley each found the net, while Kiana Talbot and Bella Chance also added goals.
Mountain Home advanced to the championship match but fell just short against Sheridan, dropping a 2-1 decision. The Lady Bombers’ lone goal came in the first half when Kendra Medley converted off a corner kick.
