
The Mountain Home Lady Bombers found themselves in a back-and-forth battle Thursday night but had just enough offense down the stretch to pull away for a 14-10 win over Van Buren in 5A-West play.
Mountain Home pounded out timely hits all night, led by Daelyn Harper, who went 3-for-5 at the plate and drove in four runs. Chloe Bohannon added another big performance, finishing 3-for-5 with three RBIs as the Lady Bombers kept pressure on the Van Buren pitching staff.
Laken Anderson chipped in with two hits and two RBIs, while Kailyn Pope and Lyndee Owens each added an RBI in the win.
The victory moves Mountain Home to 3-3 overall and 2-2 in conference play as the Lady Bombers continue to battle in a competitive 5A-West race.
In junior varsity action, Mountain Home also came away with a win, defeating Van Buren 7-4 to improve to 3-1 on the season.
