According to court documents, the incident occurred March 16 when Hughes went to the victims residence to retrieve personal property. Authorities say Hughes struck the woman after encountering another individual inside the home.
After leaving the scene with a television, Hughes later returned and became involved in a physical altercation with the victim, who is reported to be three months pregnant.
During the incident, investigators say Hughes held a kitchen knife to the womans throat and threatened her life. The victim sustained a cut to her hand while attempting to defend herself.
Authorities also allege Hughes held the victim down and directed two other women to assault her, including striking her in the stomach and ribs. Investigators said Hughes later sent a message expressing harm toward the victim and her unborn child.
Officers with the Jonesboro Police Department arrested Hughes on March 18.
If released on bond, Hughes has been ordered to wear a GPS ankle monitor and have no contact with the victim.
