The inning featured contributions throughout the lineup, highlighted by a go-ahead two-run home run from Alec Burleson and additional production from rookie JJ Wetherholt and Ivan Herrera.
Saturdays pitching matchup features right-hander Joe Boyle taking the ball for Tampa Bay against Cardinals right-hander Michael McGreevy. Boyle enters after posting a 3.52 ERA last season, while McGreevy went 8-4 with a 4.42 ERA, giving St. Louis a young arm opportunity to stabilize the series.
