Details have been released about the accident Monday afternoon in Gamaliel that closed the highway for several hours. The crash claimed the life of a Baxter County man and injured a woman from Howell County.The Arkansas State Police (ASP) has identified the victim as 39-year-old Zackery Johnston from Gamaliel. Injured and taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield for treatment of her injuries was 44-year-old Emily Noblin of West Plains.
According to the report from the ASP, the accident happened when Johnston’s vehicle crossed the centerline and struck Noblin’s vehicle head-on.
The crash happened on Arkansas State Highway 101 at 2:03 Monday afternoon.
