The Donald W. Reynolds Library serving Baxter County is inviting the community to celebrate Mother’s Day while supporting the Library Hill Trail through a fundraiser and picnic.

Residents can purchase Mother’s Day pinwheels through May 5. Medium pinwheels are available for $10, while large pinwheels cost $25. Each one will have an attached 3D printed tag with the person’s name the pinwheel is dedicated to.

Library Director Kim Crow Sheaner says they hope this becomes a Mother’s Day tradition however the pinwheels can be used to honor anyone, not just mothers.

The event will kick off Saturday morning at 11 as attendees walk the trail, pick up their pinwheels, and enjoy the picnic they brought along. Complimentary dessert will be provided by the Library Foundation with the event lasting through 1.

Library Foundation Coordinator Adeana Estoll says the community has already met the initial fundraising goal for the Library Hill Trail and these additional proceeds will support funding for future needs.
