Mountain Home turned in a dominant performance Thursday at the Senior Bomber Relays, racking up multiple event wins and top finishes, but several other area schools across the Twin Lakes Region also made their mark.

KTLO Sports spoke with Head coach for the Bombers, Noah Chagnon, who says three school records were broken during the meet.

For the Bombers, Barrett Miller took first in the 100 meters with a time of 11.04, while the distance group controlled the meet. Garrett Barr won the 800, and Mountain Home swept the top four spots in the 1600, led by Jackson Free. Gus Wilber added a pair of wins in the 110 and 300 hurdles, and the Bombers also picked up field event victories from Christian Ries in discus and Ford Coleman in shot put.

The Lady Bombers were just as impressive. Camilla Johnson set a new mark in the 300-meter hurdles, breaking her own previous record. The Lady Bombers also set a new school record in the 4×200 relay. Ella Hampton claimed the 100 meters, Jada Johnson won the 200, and Mountain Home took first in both the 4×100 and 4×200 relays. Cisily Goettler added a win in the 800, and Lucy Koehn led the way in the 1600.

Around the area, several other schools had strong showings. Flippin’s Broderick Warnock tied for first in the high jump, while Salem’s Ferris Thweatt finished second in the 100 hurdles and also tied for first in the high jump.

Norfork’s Ransom Gibson picked up a win in the javelin, and Cave City’s Malachi Huff took first in the long jump. Marshall’s Jaydon Salas captured the triple jump title, highlighting a solid day for the Bobcats.

On the girls side, Norfork’s Aimee Johnson placed second in the 100 meters, while Bergman’s Kinsley See won the high jump.

Coach Chagnon goes on to share what is coming up for Mountain Home.

Overall, it was a strong meet for teams across the Twin Lakes area.
