MH tennis teams have mixed resuts at Jonesboro

The Mountain Home High School tennis teams went on the road Thursday to take on Jonesboro.

The Lady Bombers finished in the 3-3 tie with the Lady Hurricane. Individually, Emily Heide won her matches 8-5 and 8-2, and Chloe Nosari suffered an 8-1 loss. In doubles action, Meagan Beck and Sydney Czanstkowski fell 9-7 to the defending state champs, but they later had a 9-8 victory. Sarah Godfrey and Madelyn Smeltzer lost their match 8-2. Mountain Home is now 6-1-2 on the season and 3-1-1 in the 6A-East.

Mountain Home did not fare as well on the boys’ side as they fell to Jonesboro 8-0. In singles play, Billy Beck lost 8-3 and 8-5, and Jack Arp ended up falling 8-4 and 8-1. Sam Arp and C.J. Blackmon lost their doubles matches 8-5 and 8-2, and Dylan Kimbriel and Grahm Davidson fell 8-2 and 8-0. The Bombers drop to 4-3-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the league.

Mountain Home will be in Springdale Wednesday for a tri-match with Har-Ber and Siloam Springs.
